The Process

Example of how we transformed a well used machine for one of our customers.

While most machines we remanufacture are ugly, they are generally very sound structurally.  Typically, the linear-guide
rails are in great shape, but we frequently make repairs or replacements to some of the linear-guide bearing trucks.
We remove, clean, repack, or replace every linear guide bearing.  We do the same for the ballscrew bearings and nuts.
For this machine, we replaced all of the balls in the Z-axis ball nut.  The toolchanger was also refitted with new bearings.
In addition to the mechanical items, we replaced all of the air lines and all of the servo encoder cables as they were
showing signs of wear and hardening.

Frequently the machines we work on have non-functioning controls.  If that's the case, we rebuild the machine with a
totally new CNC Control system.  Other times, as in this case, the FANUC control was in excellent condition,
but needed a face-lift.

The photos below show the same machine after the remanufacturing process was completed.
This machine has been in two shift production for over one year with no problems since being remanufactured.
