How to Program

Programming your CNC Router is as easy as 3 simple steps.

1.       Use CAD software to draw your part.   The CAD software will create a .dxf file.  Almost any CAD software package will work.  Try software like IntelliCAD, TurboCAD, IntelliCAD, CoralDraw, GenericCAD, AutoCAD, BobCAD/CAM, CadCode, and many others.

2.       Use CAM software to program your part.  Open the .dxf file in your CAM package and generate the "G & M code" program.  We recommend DesKam 2000 for an effective, easy to learn and use CAM package.  However, any CAM package that will produce "G & M Code" programs will work with our machine design.  Try software like DesKam 2000, MasterCAM, AlphaCAM, BobCAD/CAM, CadCode, and many others.

3.       Open the G & M code program in the Operator Interface software (comes with the Motion Control Card) and run your machine.  The Operator Interface software is where you run the machine.  It gives you the ability to "jog" the machine from place to place, "zero-out" the X, Y, and Z coordinate readings, load a program and run it.
